Maze Onward
Despair is the revelation of truth,
And I am stuck in the maze of lies,
All the bustle of green and blue,
And here it is I find myself in queue,
With working men, in fiery workshops,
Working with each other.
Together we find the rumble,
Together we fight the rumble;
Do the equations work every time?
Or it’s an illusion of the theorists,
Ain’t I one of them, no I ain’t them,
Grief stricken, pale faced, are they;
Suburban chants, repulsive haunts
Are all that fill my senses, my body,
I am stuck in the maze of space,
I am stuck in the maze of time,
But worse than you and me are those brave,
Distanced from love ones, they scourge,
With fighting men, in bloody fights,
Fighting against each other;
In solace, I find my twisted truth,
My world is all but a lonely misery,
And for a brief moment, you were there,
In my brief sorrow, briefer than this moment.
